Elliot started work at CJ Design on May 22nd 2013 having previously worked at Parsons Brinkerhoff (Highways Consultants) where he was seconded to TFL’s main Palestra Office working on the highways work for the 2012 Olympics.
He started with us as our Junior Cad Technician soon progressing to CAD Technician with the hope of reaching the status of CAD co-ordinator in the near future. His duties include the application of Auto CAD 2016 to set up Mechanical/ Electrical/ Public Health and Fire Protection drawings along with various Schematics. Elliot’s other responsibilities include visits to site to undertake survey work to produce accurate drawings to scale.
Elliot is our Document Controller for incoming and outgoing drawings using drawing issue sheets efficiently to log data. Elliot attends our regular CPD training sessions to build his knowledge on schemes, improve his awareness on health and safety site legislation and safe systems of work.
Elliot has assisted on schemes for clients such as Hugo Boss, Jimmy Choo, Ted Baker, Apple, Twitter, and many more from tender to the construction stage of a design.
Elements of the role Elliot enjoys the most include the creative side of using Autocad and seeing how the software develops. He also enjoys working on the variety of projects at CJDP and seeing how the design engineers adapt their designs to suit specific client requirements.
Outside of work Elliot is a Charlton season ticket holder and plays for his local football team. He also likes to keep fit by attending the local gym.
